PUBLISHING AND ENDORSEMENT

1. Publishing! I have nearly nearly nearly had two "good" deals for the eggs songwriting team over the last two years- they fall through at the last minute - not because I am asking to much but because of the BLOOMING internet and availability of free music at the moment- So many bands have their music onlne that the "industry"; can steal rob borrow tunes to their hearts content- many bands now are even offering their music free to various sources- computer games and adverts- All I want is enough dosh to keep my poxy little home studio in CDs and bits --- Any other bands writers of originals feel the same- It is just too difficult now!! 2. endorsement! Schecter will gine me a guitar they will they will they will Rant over

I agree. And hence why I tried to plug in the facility for people to "Pay" to download NWB tunes. The Bizmo was a good idea, but since cashed out on trying to be EVERYTHING and good at nothing.

re: Endorsement, I agree on that front too - I've found it utterly impossible to get any form of sponsership for NWB. The local trade dont want to know, and the punters which use the sites are tooo used to getting stuff for free.

In a few years time people will be saying "well, at least the airs still free ...on the internet"

Schecter Guitars (USA) said I had done everything to get an endorsement- If you image search a Schecter Ultra my site come up in the top 5 "Googled" - Schecter USA said I could have a deal- but Soundcontrol the UK distributer have not been so forthcoming- I am currently awaiting a phone call!!

As for publishing (Continue RANT) I had a meeting with a very nice publisher - it was all going well- she wanted an R&B song so I knocked her one up in 4 hours- written recorded mixed- some bird singing - she loved it- the song was CRAP- but however she said it showed my skills as a songwriter in the publishing genre- well who did she end up signing that month-!!!!!!!!!!! Some nomark DJ remixer bumchikaboomboom computer genterater WAN***- whos music is POO-

I have at least three chords in all of my songs and this bugger doesn't even know what a chord it- logarhythms and drum riffs- what the *@~% is a drum riff!!

Had a long conversation with them on Friday- said he would get back to me- he wants to "work with me!" and can work it out but we will see!!!!
