BASS PLAYER AVAILABLE

I'm a bass player - having spent most of my life in the studio or on tour.
Recording bands played in include: Mudanzas, Stilts, Mad Jacks Travelling Circus, Turner, Undermembers, Nick Bold Band, The Dooleys, Everyman Jack and The Drifters.

Currently gigging weekdays only with International Rescue with occasional gigs at the weekend and am in rehearsals for a 'Muse' tribute band.

I'm looking for a paid gig for every weekend (plus any weekdays)- preferably without too much travelling - all types of music considered.

have fretted and fretless basses, decent gear, vocals and transport.

anything good out there?

Hey mike just been looking around your site. Interesting that I actually remember Tyger. I was playing bass for a while in a band called Touch of Magic with a guy called David James. I met Gina a few times afterwards at Mancat too. I knew Dave too. We had his girlfriend at the time Evangelina as vocalist in our band Atlantic Avenue. Small world innit

hi Ian, I remember the name Touch of Magic....wasnt it another of steve wright's bands?
I can vaguely remember a promo photo.............did I sell you a black Rickenbacker 4001?
great to hear from people who are still playing....saw Larry Gott out of retirement and on TV again the other week. After years of click tracks and sequenced keys, I'm really enjoying playing with a superb all live 5 piece band - International Rescue - at the moment. good to hear from you buddy....maybe we'll run into each other again soon,

No Mike it would have been Alan the other bass player they had that bought the bass off you. I had a fender precission fretless and a Dan armstrong perspex bass at the time. We were one of Steve Wrights bands though. In fact I think the last words I said to him when I left the band were something like "fuck off you wanker" I couldn't stand the bloke.
I remember seeing you with Jack a couple of times. I think my mate Garry Bowker was bass player with him for a while at the beginning if my memory serves me right. I got an email from Jack not so long back. Seems a long time since I first saw him at the Gransmore hotel with Prisoner. I was in a resident band at the Hunting Lodge on Oxford Road and Jack, Garry, Paul Rivers and all that lot used to come in after their gigs.
I'm still at it with a function band, still just about scraping a living

yeah, alan...guy with long hair and 'tache. wonder what happened to steve w? had great times with jacks - I remember big gary - great guy and great player. I remember going to the hunting lodge...I depped for paul rivers a couple of times - that got me the jacks gig.
I got a text from jack a month or two back and, with vinny and duncan, we were supposed to be going to see him in blackpool last summer. never happened though.
maybe this year................

yep Hare Of the Dog have just lost our bass player with immediate effect, what a Judas.......
we need another bass player urgently,
even if its just for depping set list as below
for paid gigs upcoming Crown Stockport Saturday 12th July and Garricks Flixton Saturday 19th July,
we have a drummer coming to Redbridge studios Bolton time booked in there this coming Tuesday 1st July (7-11pm) also time there booked in Thursday 3rd July (7-11pm)

I can do the 2 gigs for you, but cant make any r/h this week - am busy til after weekend -
there are about 9 or 10 of the songs i dont know...easy really!!!
