Aaaaargh! Any body know of an electronics wizard who can sort out my bass amp. Warwick 150 that every so often just completely dies, as if you hit a note and then slowly turn the volume down. Leave at a couple of minutes and its right as rain. Had it in with 2 so called experts, neither of whom could find any thing wrong with it. Trouble is I can't trust it now, so I've had to splash out on some new gear, but I really like the sound this Warwick combo gives (Teutonic Technology, vor sprung durch and all that stuff). Had it 12 years from new and would like to keep using it. Any recomendations gratefully received.

Hi Guys

Can you give you the address and number of a good amp technician;

Dave Lunt
0161 432 9698

He is based in Heaton Chapel, Stockport, 5 mins from Junc 1 of the M60

He has fixed a number of amps etc for me and other band mates over the years, he is good and his prices seem to be pretty reasonable.

Hope this helps.

Regards

G

If you get no joy at the aforementioned places I may be able to help you. I own Warrington Sound & Light in ...er.....Warrington. Is the amp tube or solid state? I'm not too hot on tube amps (pun??) but I do lots of general PA and lighting repairs. The bad news is that I always seem to have around 20 jobs in at any one time, probably because no one else does it round here, but I could take a quick look . You can get me on 01925 650700.

Gee, thanks y'all. Totally overwhelmed by swift response from so many. I'll try out some of the suggestions, and see what happens.
