What about this for an idea. Its something that could prove controversial though, but on the other hand may create conversation.

A panel where you can mark a band as"seen". You could also have a small comment after the band i.e. Great Sound etc.

It could work a few different ways. The first being you would simply make a band as seen and it adds onto your profile.

Stage 2 could be; you see a band and it adds to your community score, although it could be open to abuse. Or take it a even further and you mark a band as seen and its up to the band to 'approve' you as seeing them before you get your points.

This would then require NWB members introducing themselves to bands.

Would be nice to see who is who's fan and who is going to see who.

Like the idea about "approving" meets/greets to get some CRP points. Didnt think of that. Nice touch :-)

No wonder you get so many crp points!!!! You can't put everything in one comment can ya! :P

Crp points are great and anything that adds to them has to be a good thing like this comment

Yeah i agree, good way of getting them is to leave useless comments about how they work and how many ways there are of getting them (i'm so dead) another point for me here! lol

# Posted by Woody - 24/04/2008, 16:44 (GMT)
I believe the kids use ** to represent an expression, or non-verbal communication i.e. *slaps head* - you are only asking to get an extra point...I'm on to you Egg.

Can you not see the colours really? My comments are on pink and Mr. NWB's are on Green.

How about something for venues as well?? I.e Size of stage, is the place rough, con merchant.. Basically positive or negative feedback..

Just a thought!

I like the sound of that. It wouldn't have been as much of a shock to us when we turned up at the Wheatsheaf last week to find the band area is now only half the space it used to be. Forewarned is forearmed! And, yes, we've had one or two experiences where the landlord has suffered from a bout of amnesia when it came to the fee. Names will be given out if it happens again!

Some good suggestins I reckon.

Following on from my original suggestion, the points would have been divvied out last night at the Whatever Gig. I was there along with Mrs NWB, Matt and of course the Griggermeister.

# Posted by mr.nwb - 25/04/2008, 15:32 (GMT)
I've tried on numerous occasion to try and get the venues to pump some information about the stage areas. But as you probably have realised most are pretty lax in keeping the bands informed.

I'll take you idea on board, and give "bands" access to write on venue profiles regarding stage areas/plugs/sockets/lights e.t.c

Oh yeah, keeping the "blog on track". The "ive seen um" feature will be rolled out later tonight. Should be fun!
