CLASSIC ROCK GUITARIST LOOKING FOR BAND

Hi There,

I am a 34 year old guitarist who has been playing for 15 years. I would like to join a rock covers band in the Blackpool area for the express purpose of playing gigs and having a great time. I am very proficient and feel confident that I could learn any set. The sorts of covers I would like to play include Free, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, The Darkness, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Foo Fighters, Def Leppard and many others. The list is fairly endless really. But I am very flexible in what would become the bands repetoire as I fully understand that to get gigs, venues are looking for a good spread to cater for most tastes. To me that means track from 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. The area where I live is exapanding its live music venues which is great news as getting local gigs has never been easier (the smoking ban means pubs are trying new strategies!). I have lots of live experience and a real passion about playing guitar.

I LIVE IN FLEETWOOD I AM A SINGER AND KEYBOARD PLAYER LOOKING TO FORM A BAND.I NEED A GUITARIST WHO CAN PLAY LIKE WHITESNAKE OR DEF LEPPARD I ALSO LIKE JOVI/CHICAGO ETC MANLY AMERICAN ROCK.
I AM CURRENTLY WRITING NEW STUFF IN MY HOME STUDIO BUT WANT TO GET BACK OUT GIGGING.
IM 33 NOW SO ITS TIME I GOT THINGS INTO GEAR AND DO WHAT I LOVE DOING MUSIC.
I HAVE A DRUMMER LINED UP ALSO A BASS PLAYER.

Thanks for getting in touch. I love American rock. I am confident that I could play any set list, but to give you examples of songs I can already play from the bands you mention - Armageddon It, Animal, Promises (Del Leppard), Livin' on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name (Bon Jovi). Other stuff I would be keen to play include possibly Billy Idol (Rebel Yell/White Wedding),the Darkness 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love', and many others. Perhaps I could come to a practice sometime?

The songs sound great. There are some I would need to learn but I don't think they pose a problem. I would like to add the following possibilities:-
