I listen to them both - fantastic.
The good thing about Planet Rock is if you miss a show, ie.recent David Coverdale/Micky Moody interviews just log onto their website and the you can listen to anything transmitted within the last 7 days.
I was at the launch of Rock FM last Monday - had a great time.
Also going to see Bad Company 2008/X-Com at the Limelight in Crewe next Monday - I cant get enough!!

hell yeah-i missed the bruce dickenson piece a while back-no prob-just logged on and there it was!! brilliant!! rock fm has played some fine music this week, and the dj's "one liners" are exceptional!! today, someone asked the morning jock to "give a shout" to their friends, the jock replied "if i did that i'd sound like a middle aged, middle class, white guy trying to talk like a black teenager!!" priceless!!

ha ha awesome
It's about time they started broadcasting in England.
Everytime I go back to Glasgow I have Rock Radio blasting out. I wonder if they will adopt the 5 word weather forecast. It's always a really stupid one liner that vaguely has something to do with the weather. Very funny

without reason-yep!! we've had to put up with key 103, galaxy and sufferred radio two as the only "alternative" at work for yonks-"rock fm" is like a blast of fresh air in the place, and, as you say, the news and weather reports are-errrrr- interesting?? tune in asap-you will like!!?? the "voice overs" are hilarious!!

Only original BC member is Mick Ralphs. Paul Rodgers is (in my opinion) selling out with Brian May & Roger Taylor.
Other BC members are Rob Hart (v), Dave Caldwell (g) from the 1980's-90's version & Jaz Loughrie (b) from the 2002 version/tour.
Simon Kirke is touring in his own right (in US/Canada) I believe so Harry James from Thunder is questing on drums.

On the 'official' Bad Co website there is a notice to say Bad Co have not reformed and are not touring & legal action is being threatened to stop 'any other band' from using the Bad Co name.
Sounds like Mr Rodgers has gone a bit precious to me.

thanks, d g. i tend to agree on the paul rodgers opinion? wouldn't mind having a listen to what the simon kirke/harry james combination produce?? :-)) sk was, i think, a very undervalued part of b c??

I concurr Mr V - one of the most underrated drummers ever and in my opinion THE best time keeper ever - especially on slower tracks.
His drumming on Free live/Mr Big is nothing short of brilliant.

getting blog (slightly) back on thread! lol!! rock fm have played some class bad company tracks this week-"bad company" included- plus the "live version of "alright now" !! bliss!! :-)) (another of their "one liner" voice - overs is "beyonce? definitely! britney? possibly. madonna? maybe?? yes-we'd "do" all three of them, but we ain't ever going to play their music on here!!!" :-D

i just feel Bad Company isnt Bad Company without Paul Rodgers, like Skid Row without the mighty Sebastian Bach,Bad Company was always a sum of greta individual parts, im a huge Queen fan and feel cool about Paul Rodgers and Queen though, theyve been big friends for years, and even Paul himself would say hes not trying to replace Freddie)cos Fred is irreplaceable), i just view it as Brian May and Roger Taylor keeping playing music while still acknowledging their illustious past?

i just hope mr r doesn't forget his blues roots and stop doing what he does best?? i'm afraid i can take or leave queen? for some reason brian may just doesn't hit my "giggety spot"??!! :-))
