Many of you will know that Gareth recently stood down from his drumming duties in Riff Raff and indeed he is still occasionally banging the skins at selected shows. Anyway Gareth and Wolfpack vocalist Nidge have decided to show another side to their musical tastes and put together a melodic rock band that is completely removed from their roles in Riff Raff and Wolfpack and are on the lookout for a talented guitarist and bassist who are into bands like Journey, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi etc........Backing vocals would also be a distinct advantage as we want to take this to as a high a standard as possible. Both Gareth and Nidge are based in BOLTON so auditions and subsequent rehearsals will be in the Bolton area.

Please contact us through here or by e mailing nidge@wolfpackbolton.co.uk

Cheers dudes \m/

Who knows eh mate? Wolfpack's bassist Gav hates melodic rock so he will just call it Nidges Other Gay Band ;-)

Good luck with this one Nidge.
2nd post this week on the subject of 80's big hair soft rock bands. Revival time for the pretty boys of rock ?

Now where are all the Yes/ELP/Greenslade fans looking to re-ignite the Prog rock era ?

2 lads i know here in Bolton called Julian and Nigel both used to be in a local prog band called BURGUNDY and they are looking to do something proggy soon...Watch this space

Big hair we won't have ha ha ....More short n grey hair rock nowadays.
We could actually dress up like Slipknot and play melodic songs, what a twist that would be eh?

Sounds like a must see, does that mate. Slipnot does Animal ( the mind boggles)

Fancy a dabble at prog meself. Problem is 2 numbers and thats the gig done with no time left for a 25minute encore HaHa.

Aye you are right there! To be honest i really think a prog revival would have to be redefined with shorter songs....I am sure it can be done!

am looking forward to the end result there, nidge!
as for costumes-you could always get your friend at "southpark" to design some for you?:-P

Should be great if it all works out, had a very interesting e mail from a guitarist that sounds right up our street so we'll be looking to get together with him very shortly. We want to get those chicks dancing and wiggling their arses in front of us all night long with this band. Leave the dirty stuff and riffing it out with The Viking when I am with my Wolfpack hombres \m/

"We want to get those chicks dancing and wiggling their arses in front of us"
hell yeah!! -even gav couldn't' grumble at that sentiment? after all-troft's got anna-why shouldn't nidge, gareth and co. have some? heh heh!! ;-0

This is very true mate
Hot Chicks take note......This new band will require a serious arse wiggling female element to fulfill its potential ;-)

Hey Keef/Rod, We could send along that blonde dancer from The Lane Ends last week, she fitsthe bill for this bill doesnt she? ;o)

# Posted by Keef - 01/07/2008, 13:55 (GMT)
Don't go there beatfab. She was harmless enough, but talk about over enthusistic/over the top and nutty.
Not sure even Wolfpack could handle her mate.
Sure as hell kept me busy keeping her of the stage.

We've had enough of those types...Ask our bassist Gav about the druggy bird @ Bike & Hound....more holes in her arm than a pin cushion!

hey mr nwb!! am sure nidge and co are very, very tempted by your "request" - am just NOT sure how your shaking your tush in front of the band would meet the requirements??
mrs nwb, now, in her mud wrestling gear or basque?? THAT would be a different matter!!
what say you, nidge? ;->
