snap, I'm also after a Gibson Les Paul, hence why I'm flogging the Brian May. Off to Florida in August, so hopefully gonna pick up a Black Left Handed Gibson Les Paul Studio for around £800

Providing the May sells that is.

The tele sounds awesome but unfortunately I can't afford two £800+ guitars lol

cheers

Scott

Its does sound awesome.
Before you get to Florida get in touch with this guy:-
www.jerrysleftyguitars.com. He's based in Florida - let him
know what you want and how much you want to pay.
If you dont sell the Burns take with you & part ex it.
When you come back customs shouldn't stop you as you went out
with guitar & came back with one!

I've bought a few things from the USA - pickups & a Hamer guitar. But I've always done it through the post. Let us know how you get on - it will be interesting for all guitarist to know.

The other guitarist in Blue Slickers (who is also left handed) recently went to Memphis and brought back a St Blues guitar with him.
He paid around $750 and did not get stopped by customs.

Have a nice holiday and say hello to Micky for me!

will do. Might even take the Les Paul with me and get Mickey to sign it...would it be worth any more do you think? lol

I've emailed Jerry so we shall see what he says.

Sorry to blogjack your thread, but I thought I would let you know that Jerry got back to me and said that he isn't a Gibson dealer.
Now for the interesting bit, apparently, it costs $150,000 to become a licensed Gibson dealer. No wonder the prices are so high. Price fixing anyone?????

Anyway, Jerry says he'll see what he can do.

cheers

Scott
